So this video was posted on Facebook and lots of folks freaking out about how bad these dogs are and should be put down. In my opinion they look like they are wagging their tales and the freaked out women is making it worse by freaking out and playing "keep away" with her child. So are they attacking the child or playing?

What on earth.

Tails are wagging, they were playing. Probably too rough, but that was play, not an 'attack'. Believe me, you'd know if those two were actually attacking.

Appropriate response would have been to grab the one by the collar, other by nape of the neck, and lead them away from the house. Or throw a fucking, stick. Anything. Playing keepaway with your childs legs isn't likely to end nearly as well.

Yeah, they were just playing. Obviously too rough for the size of the kid but if those two were really attacking there would be lots of blood and it would have gone very differently.

They were playing but doesn't mean a kid can't get hurt/killed, especially with how tenacious they were about getting to the child. The mom certainly didn't help at all though.

What we have here is a person who has no understanding of dogs... She's just created a wonderful game for them.

Towards the end of the clip it got really rough, a dog got her hand and was pulling her in a very awkward position. They had tried to drag the son away many times and were trying to get hold of his limbs. Was it play? Yes, but it was the fact is they were out of control and could have badly hurt that kid.

I love dogs and used to work with animals. I've seen dogs like this in person, and if you don't know how to get them under control it can get serious VERY quickly. The dogs will start to get frustrated and play will turn to aggression. This video is another case of a crappy owner who didn't train them, socialize them and keep them safely contained in the house/yard. I hope the dogs find a good home instead of getting put down.

We have a friend who had two pit bulls bum rush into her house and tear apart her little ozzy in her house right in front of her. She had to lock them in a closet until the police arrived Happened in Sacramento, CA. CA and Florida have the worst people with dogs.
