Just got back from the vet $250 bucks for a Ear infection. and the dog has to back in 2 weeks. Need doggie medicare:Q

How old is your dog?

I would suggest anyone getting a new dog get pet health insurance. 30 bucks a month can pay for itself very quickly if your dog gets an infection or hit by a car, etc.... My neigbor's Thai Ridgeback's got out of their yard and hit by a car last week. The vet bill was over $800 and they paid less than $80 out of pocket. A 3 day stay in an animal hospital for something like a nasty bladder infection can cost over $2,000. Bladder stone removal surgery is like $1,500. (Unfortunately I know these things...)

We dropped $1000 in vet bills on a kitten in 4-months that we had to put to sleep last Friday.
Sorry to hear that, GOD BLESS!!!

I have health insurance for my cat. Decided to get it after paying nearly $2k for kitty surgery about 8 years ago. Ever since then he's been healthy as a horse, no problems whatsoever. In fact, he looks exactly the same as he did back then. He hasn't aged a bit.

That bastard will outlive me.... 🙁

Pretty much. I grew up overseas. I loved my pets, but they didn't have exactly the same lifespan as pets do here...so I can't imagine spending hundreds of dollars on an animal.
