Dog paws cut. What to do?

I took my dog to the dog park yesterday and she ran around and played a lot. Both of her front paws' pads are sliced a bit in the same spot. She walks on them tenderly and won't really run right now but she is still putting her weight on them. Is there something I should do like put hydrogen peroxide on there or wrap them?

If you have a properly sized plastic shield collar, you could treat the cuts and keep her from licking off the bandages. Otherwise, just keep her quiet and inside as much as possible.

a more imprtant question is what caused the cuts?

After being inside most of the winter an active romp at the dog park leaves Bacon's pads raw in some spots. I clean the cuts with some mild soap or hydrogen peroxide, dry and put a small sock on the paw. I usually use Transpore to tape the sock to keep it from sliding down his leg and to keep him from licking the raw spots.
