Dog bitten by something

I took my dog to my friends house yesterday because he has a good bit of woods.

I don't think it was a snake bite because he only had 1 hole where he was bitten. I'm thinking he was attacked by another dog (I saw another dog chasing him).

When I got him home, it was swollen to about the size of a pool ball. That was last night, now its less big, but it seems more spread out, it's about the diameter of a CD, and still looks very large.

I'll probally take him to the vet, but they don't open for another hour. Anyone know what might cause the swelling? He has his rabies shots so I know it's nothing along those lines.

Could be anything - but most obviously, either an allergic reaction to something or an infection. If it was an allergic reaction, a benedryl and about 12 hours should help (12 hours without the bene too... which is why it looks like an infection). If it's an intection, then a vet visit sounds necessary asap.
