Say you are buying booze or a prescription (dont need a membership to buy that stuff in MI), then slip someone $5 to buy it for you

or just hang out in the parking lot and ask someone

You know anyone with a Costco membership? Get them to buy it for you or just go with them to Costco.

Its called a Costco gift certificate. Just get a member to buy one for you - this allows you entry + you if you spend more than the value of the certificate you can even make up the difference with cash
NOTE (I've never tried this myself but have been told it works)

ditto on this as I have a Costco card and have seent hese gift cards. I don't know if you can make up the difference in cash though, I tihnk it may have to all be on the card. Also, only Costco members can re-up the cards.

Yup. Costco giftcards function as temporary membership cards.

If any of my membership-deprived friends need to go in there I just go with them.

I just give any females that need to use it my card and have them tell the guards that I am their b/f

Hmm that's weird, I always thought they'd let you have a one day pass to purchase things, if you filled out some paperwork, but just not write checks. That's the way it is at another "membership discount store" Bi-Mart around here.
