Doess Terraria punish you for generating a bunch of worlds

I created like 20 characters and worlds in a row and I feel as though each one rolled progressively shittier than the last. Should I reinstall and do a registry clean?

In fact it's been widely reported that a reg clean isn't a remedy. Many people need to reformat and reinstall windows to fix their problem. I guess it's a time-based thing and if it happens once you can wait it out in a couple hours, but once you dig a huge hole like you did you'd have to wait months before launching the game again.

I've heard some wild reports hinting that it could even be tied to the serial number to your HDD, and some people had to buy new HDDs to remedy it... but personally that sounds like BS to me

if you wish to try and create an 'ideal' world you can get a terraria world viewer. then just make worlds, map them out and see if they're what you want or not.
