No, most major retailers do that, they are flex spots on the store layout, generally promotional items go there.

Well im not talking about promotional items for sale though, im referring to big old brown bulk boxes for the employees to break open to put product up on the shelves.

Oh, ok.

That's poor work by the employees then.

Umm what time are you doing your shopping at? Stocking takes place from 10pm-7 and with this time of year it happens even longer than that.

The one in Denison does, from Feb. through August. then all the extra crap they don't have room for goes out for christmas. (and it takes them most of Jan. and Feb to get rid of the left overs)

only when I go in in the middle of the night (this is true for all 24-hour grocery stores... that's when they restock the shelves and change up the layout). the aisles are usually box-free during the middle of the day.

We walked into Walmart last night to look at Christmas decorations. 6pm on a Saturday, and there were pallets all over the floor. And of course the place was packed with people. On top of it all, it looked like a bomb had hit the whole store; items all over the place, shelves in disarray, etc.

i only see those when i go like at 2am.

I've seen them start stocking at about 9:00 PM - which meant boxes in the aisles. Plus, if I get into the store before 7:00 AM, there are some boxes then, too. Otherwise, not during the major shopping hours of the day.
