Yes, had a broken arm for a couple of weeks and no cast. Completely broke it in half but luckily it healed ok and the doc didn't have to break it again.

Yeah. People think I'm a wuss. :(

My skin is pretty sensitive. I don't even like getting dressed (yes, I DO get dressed each day). The sensation of putting on a shirt is like have someone screaming in both of my ears.

I'm no big fan of pain.
The only thing that keeps me from going to a doctor sooner than I possible should is the high cost. Fortunately, it's quite rare that I get sick or hurt enough to warrant a doctor visit.

Yeah, my boss comes around once a week, lines everyone up and punches them in the arm. If you don't react or yell, you're given a verbal reprimand the first time. We all learned to say "ow" pretty fast.

yeah.

I had an infection in my leg a couple years ago... didn't really think much of it at first and I went along with my life fine, until one morning I woke up and the pain was so bad I couldn't stand up. ended up getting rushed to the hospital and stayed there for a week on IV antibiotics (and had a home nurse for another 2 weeks after that to continue IV antibiotics)

You broke your arm in half and it healed fine without a cast? That's damned impressive. :p

Played football on a 4in. spiral fracture of my fibula for a few weeks before I actually went and got x-rays to find out it was broken. Fibula isn't really load bearing so I guess that's why it didn't really bother me.

I didn't get in trouble, but the doctor went "WTF" when I broke my collarbone and didn't show signs of pain. The orthopedic said that it's the most painful bone you can break (and a pretty common one). They loaded me up on vicodin regardless - for some reason the pain was only bad just as I'd be waking up, so that helped a lot.

yeah when i was carjacked, i was punched several times in the face from behind, by the time i realized the guy was playing for keeps, i had already been knocked over and dropped my keys.
my nose was broken in a half dozen places, but even after they gave me a bunch of vicodin, which i never used.

Im the same, though not as extreme with clothes :p But specially when it comes to me touching really cold/hot stuff... I see other people touching stuff after heating up food and Im like "WTF how can you touch that? Dont you have any sensibility?"

I love the extra sensibility for certain other things though *cough cough* ;)

How do you get punched in the face from behind, exactly?

i broke my right hand some years ago, never thought much of it until i sobered up (took some years :( ) but now it kinda sucks. i blame all my typos on it, lol.

i hurt my foot yesterday, no idea how. i have nueropathy in both legs, from my knee down basically, so i'm used to pain. i'm not even sure when i hurt it because of the nearly constant pain. but whatever i did, now i can barely walk. my big toe is banged up somehow but i don't see any damage, except swelling.

i wonder if i could've broken a tiny bone or something playing football with my son.

x2 on the pain killers today :p

I've had a couple surgeries that my doctors were WTF about. In fall 2006 I had to have a couple feet of intestine removed due to Crohn's. The day after the surgery I was up walking around - granted not for a long period of time, usually just a couple laps around the floor. That was more difficult than painful: I had two IV poles, a catheter, a JP tube, and a stomach drain to bustle around with me. The really annoying thing was the metal staples had to be covered by a giant gauze pad that was itchy, and I couldn't scratch it.

Had my nose bridge smashed and nose partially severed during a skiing accident, my tolerance for pain managed to allow me to walk out of the ski place on my own, drive 3 hours home, then wait iny local hospital's waiting room despite bleeding the whole time.

I got ingrown nails on my big toes from wearing sneakers all the time and running and I would pretty much let them go b/c they wouldn't hurt or I'd go in and cut them out myself...my parents saw them and flipped out asking wtf I was doing.

Yeah, I had that. When I actually took off of work to get it taken care of (it was a mess), I got reprimanded at work for not "taking care of my medical needs in a timely fashion". :D

I've always had a high tolerance to pain. It has to hurt pretty fucking bad before I even really recognize it. My pain management doc for my back doesn't understand why I won't take pain killers. He says that 90% of the people with my condition and symptoms are in BEGGING for pain pills...yet he can't give me any.
My dentist has remarked before on my pain tolerance as well. NO, I can't have the stuff done w/o novacaine, (he says some of his patients do) but by the time a tooth bothers me enough to have it looked at, it's pretty well gone. (I have one molar that broke a couple of years ago, but with no insurance, I don't get it fixed. That one bothers me from time to time. but usually, it's nothing I can't handle. When it gets to the point where it hurts too much, I'll have it yanked.)

I broke a tooth and roughly half of it was gone, leaving 3 of the canals exposed. I didn't get it fixed for 3+ years, after it got infected several times and caused my mouth to swell up. I had a root canal (including an un-anesthetized injection into an infected canal) and went back to work 20 minutes later.

Uh, they usually can't do anything for your nose since breaks are usually weird chips and stuff. How did you break it? I've broken my 5+ times, but they've never been able to do anything about it. *Shrugs* Makes my life easy.

i have had my nose broke 7-9 times (had surgery on my nose from it. the doctor was shocked how bad it was). after say the 5th it really does not hurt much when it gets broke heh.

the doctor was shocked how bad it was. he said its no wonder i couldn't breath. he couldn't see up the nose from it. the cartilage had grown at a weird angle. he had to remove most of it and chisel the bone down.

good part is now i can breath heh.

other then that i have a avarage (for a person who has been in sports and active all there life) tolerance of pain.
