Does your TI-89 EAT batteries

I have a 5-6 year old TI-89, I use it semi-frequently, but it powers down after like a minute or so of inactivity to save the batteries. However, I find myself replacing the batteries about every 2-3 months. Normal?

Are you playing a lot of games? Games will eat the batteries a lot faster than just normal calculation and graphing.

Another vote for about once a year, something is up with your calc. or your batteries.
