You know what I'm talking about. Hind legs pointed straight up and out, crawling around with their front paws, a look of pure pleasure on their face. Then the look of "oh shit, he saw me".

I voted no, with 1 caveat... My cat will do it when she gets a clingon from pooping. It's very rare, but she berserks until she loses it :^D

Come on. If you're going to talk about this, you have to post this.

That's spaceman's thread. That's where I got the inspiration for the pollage.

The Butt-Scootin Boogie!

Both our little dogs do it from time to time.

Apparently there are glands around the anus that get filled up...

Here's the fix for that:

Dogs do that because they need their anal glands expressed.

Yes, dogs have anal glands.

Yes, sometimes they need to be expressed.

No, you don't want to know.

take it to the vet and $15 bucks and some of the nastiest smell you will witness in your life later and your animals glands will be free and clear and no more butt dragging

This is all pretty interesting. This thread got me off my ass to look it up for cats. I've suspected it for awhile, as my tom will get in my lap sometimes, and he sometimes leaves some kind of weird stink on me. That'll get both cats sniffing around like they don't know where it's coming from :^D It smells kind of like ass, but not quite. It's really irritating in any case. The smell kind of lingers :^(

My dog just did that a day or two ago. The previous time was at a family friend's house with all of their extended family there. She decided to do it right in front of the TV that everyone was watching. That one was a little embarrassing.

Yet they're probably cleaner than most humans from 3rd world countries.

This is why I only let nice clean Americans sit on my furniture and whatnot...:p
