Where's the "yes, but they suck"?

We have one. The inner door is stupidly big, and it has to be treated like an airlock. Every time it's open, freaking freezing.

But having done part of a masters on this shit, they are suppose to cut down 25% (IIRC) on air exfiltration, so you "leak" less heat. The idea is that you would close one door before opening the next.

This is exactly why I want them on my next house, on every exterior door.
 
First thing I did with "Google" images and saw the 2nd result. Wasn't really sure what vestibule is. :biggrin:

Yes the house has one, about 10'x12' space that you pass through leading to the main part of the house.
Nice place I can shake myself down during winter if/when I'm or my boots is covered in snow.
