Such as RAM affects your ability to overclock, does also your hard drive?

If so, what will the effect of SSDs be when they become the mainstream for overclockers?

no. the only effect they will have is faster disk access rates and bandwidth, meaning when you do something disk intensive you can feed your overclocked processor better.
