I'm using my computer, MS word, playing games, etc., and my computer decides to reboot all by itself. I did not accidentally hit the reset switch on the case, nor did i ctl-alt-del. does it just happen to me, or you guys too?

running win98se on self-built system, if that makes any difference.

I have the same problem. It's only happened twice since I built my PC a few weeks ago. Once in Win98SE and once in Win2k. It's a 850 Athlon not overclocked, FIC AZ11 mobo (kt133+686A), Crucial 256MB, TNT2 Ultra, SBLive 5.1, SCSI, Winmodem and a few other PCI cards.

how many times has this happened .. yes this is a *fairly* common problem usually broght on by the power supply .. although software issues have been known to cause it .. if this is chronic i think changing the PSU may remedy it.. ups .. well after you have figured out the PSU isnt the problem, though i think it's a good idea to use, atleast a small ups anyway .. jus my 2cents ..
