Does your computer make the room noticeably warmer?

I noticed this ever since I got my new Athlon XP. If I take off to work leaving my computer on the ambient temp is usually about 85 degrees in the room when I get home, but when I turn it off before I leave its usually about 79 degrees. I also live in So Cali so that doesnt help w/ temps, but Im just wondering if any of you other people have the same thing happening when you leave your comps on. I dont even have an exhaust fan, I think that might make it raise a degree or 2.
 
Absolutely! Like Adul, I live in Arizona, and 100F is common outside this time of year. My computer room is the warmest room in the house always. (It's great in winter.)

I helped out the situation by replacing all my CRT monitors with LCDs a couple of months ago. Makes about a 5 degree difference.

It is not uncomfortable - shorts and a T-shirt are the norm, and I have a large floor fan in the corner. When I hear people complain about noisy HDDs, etc, I laugh. I can't hear anything in the computer over the room fan. 🙂
 
My 3rd bedroom is used as the "office", and I have (2) PC's w/ a 21" CRT & 15" LCD that keep the room a few degrees warmer than the rest of the house.
 
I live in North Texas where it 100F right now. I run the A/C 10 mos./yr. Don't notice the heat from the PC, but sometimes I notice the monitor.
 
2 monitors and 3 computers kicks off alot of extra heat. In the winter time I usually shut my radiator off (old cast iron ones, yay new england) and just heat my room with my computer setup.
 
The 5 machines and 3 monitors I have in my computer room make it about 5-8 degrees warmer than the rest of my house. I just leave the ceiling fan on all the time now.
 
hell yeah, my comp is the only thing that keeps my room warm, i installed a fan on the side of my comp today so it will blow warm air on my feet so they will keep warm =)
 
My Dually Athlon MP is quite warm in the summer. I helped things a lot today installing a pair of CoolerMaster Heatpipe coolers.. dropped the cpu temps about 5C at Idle and substantially more under full load. Unfortunately if this system put off NO heat it would still get warmer in here as I have a SCSI raid tower with Dual PSUs that are about the size of a toaster each, and they along with the hard drives contribute quite a bit of heat as well as the monitor. I have a 52 inch ceiling fan, a small box fan, and the AC running and this little room is still about 85-90F.
 
I just downsized my fleet from 6 to 4 computers, but when I had all six going (three monitors) I had to have an extra 5000 BTU air conditioner just to keep the room at the same temperature as when they were off.
 
Mine really heats up especially when I was cracking ECCP or cancer.

Room was noticeably warm when I came downstairs... Stop the cracking just seemed to hard on my machine.
 
I notice the heat from my 19" CRT monitor the most, at least when printing since the printer is above it. The room is hot in the summer 90ish and often cold in the winter. The past couple weeks of hot weather I couldn't stand being in front of the computer very long and shut it down more than normal. I have a large fan blowing on me right now, which like an earlier poster easily drowns out the computer fans.
