They're been putting 802.11B in at my school, so far it's only in the Student Union and the engeneering/ comp sci buildings, but I think it's pretty cool. gonna have to get a wireless card for my laptop when I get it. Is this pretty normal at universities now?

My brother goes to Western Michigan University, I can carry around my laptop and get great speeds with it. I'm not sure of the exact speed but it's fast. Maybe when i go out there again, i'll test it.

University of California, Santa Cruz had(s?) wireless 802.11b in their Engineering Building (Applied Sciences/Baskin Engineering).
I couldn't find any information about it on the school IEEE or SLUGLUG Web pages.

USC just erected a full 802.11b network on campus this past summer inside all major buildings and outside in all common areas.
