we have two cats at the moment (cat sitting my g/f's kitten for 2 weeks) and both of them LOVE to lay in cardboard boxes or anything else paperish...

if you put out a box, bag, or newspaper, within 1 minute a cat will be all over it.

i cant imagine what is so great about laying on hard uncomfortable paper, but both cats will choose it over anything else.

wierd.

Yes. Cardboard boxes...large bowls...pile of clothing...etc.

You should tape up a box that a cat is in. Then rub some catnip all over the outside of the box.

Let 'em out in a few hours. They probably won't do it anymore.

But of course. Even when the box is too small for my one cat, she still sits in it. Looks hilarious too. I had one cat that loved to be spun around when he was in a paper bag. Damn psycho that he was, unfortunately he be dead.

haha.. yeah, our cat is a Maine Coone... about 18 pounds (not fat either, just huge--- like a bobcat)... anyways, he'll try and squeeze into a shoebox, and it is hilarious.

My old cat loved bags and boxes. The funniest part was if she got a hold of styrofoam she would chew it to pieces and even eat some of it.

WTH? How is this a bad behavior? Why would you want to punish a cat that did this...

My cat has a favourite 'piece of wood' out on the deck which he enjoys playing with/sleeping on/etc.

He's an oddball, but we love him.

Later..

my cats like to lay anyplace that is in the way of something that I want to do. If I try to put something in a cardboard box, they are in there already. Same goes for reading the newspaper, putting grocerys away, and working on the computer.

Our female cat waits patiently for me to empty a box, then jumps in it on the first opportunity:D

She also carries around the sealing ring from gallons of milk, her favorite toy is a twisty tie wrapped around a milk sealing ring. Looks crazy walking around with stuff in her mouth:D

One of my cats loves the milk jug rings too. I find them all over the apartment when I clean.

Roofles! If my cat hears the tearing of the milk jug rings, she is in the kitchen, staring at my hands to see where I put the ring. If she sees me put it in the trash, she digs it out even if it's under other trash. Crazy cats :D

Yes.

Mine has also taken a likening to the bathroom sink. I have to leave the tap dripping for him or else he sits there singing and that can get annoying.

He is siamese if you please......

Your "I'm a wannabe troll" act is getting really old.

Anyway, my cats love cardboard boxes. Everytime my wife and I bring one home, they're constantly jumping in and out of it. Our youngest cat also loves jumping into the empty laundry basket when I bring it out while doing laundry.

Stop stalking me, psycho! =) Why own a cat? They just do what they want... way too independent. Who wants a pet that when you call their name they just look at you and jump on the table. The only reason to get on the internet and talk on a forum is to pass time. Are you really interested in what other people do with their cats and paper bags? If so, you needn't be so focused on other peoples' pets and spend more time with your own... but I forgot, you own a cat and they don't give a crap how much time is spent with them.

I'm going to stalk you on your threads now, because that is what I like to do on the internet, lol =)

haha.. My cat has a plastic fetish too. :p

Yep, one of my cats does the same thing. We have to constantly yell at her to get away from the bags while unloading groceries, because she insists on trying to eat the plastic. ::sigh::
