These are, hands-down, the best potato chips on earth.

Most potatoe chips are just too damn salty. This is just lightly cooked, thick cut, and has that lovely 'starchy potato' taste.

This beats the Kettle brand, Utz, and Lay's Kettle which is surprisingly good (unlike trash regular Lays).

As I grew older, I realized I just don't like flavored chips. When I crave potato chips, it's because I long for that potato taste. Flavored chips mask it terribly.

I used to love SC&O and Salt&Vinegar (who doesn't), but now I prefer plain.

Not a fan of kettle-cooked chips.

What exactly is kettle cooked? It refers to deep frying in kettle pot, but I think it's a misnomer/marketing for potato chips.

Kettle cooked is same deep fried, but just sliced thicker. Why don't they just called it 'thick cut'?

It also refers to how they're cooked, but yes, ultimately they're more crunchy and usually thicker.

I think the reason I'm no longer a fan of kettle-style is that I burnt myself out on them way back in the day by eating too many of these:

Yep. I like their waffle-cut chips. When those aren't available, I go with Zapp's, which is a local brand.

Meh.

I love these things, they just get too expensive for crappy junk food.

Two flavors that rank though are Salt and Vinegar and Salt and Pepper. Most of the others go too far to put salt and sugar in every flavor.....(even the spicy ones)

We get the Cape Cod chips here but I'm not a big fan of their texture. I suppose my favorite is Herr's Red Hot. It's impossible to not stuff the bag down your gullet.
