i can't seem to find a definitive answer, i have read both yes and no a few times

this was really the main thing making me shell out the extra 50 for pro, but if xp home supports dual monitors, i will just stick with that
 
Your videocard is the determining factor. Or you can get a splitter if you just want to see the same thing on two monitors with any old video card. The definitive answer is yes, I've had two monitors running on xp home.
