When i play bf2 i have a low fps. I get mostly around 30-40fps when iam in teh city area. All the settings are on high but the resoulution is at 1024x768. I have a 7800gt amd 64 3200+ 2gb of ram (2 sticks are generic and 2 are corsair value select 500w psu and 2 wd hd. I have a wireless internet setup and currently play at 54mps but it goes down to 48. I have tried the pci and usb version of wireless. My cpu currently runs about 60c to 65c on load and the gpu temps are around 56c.

I game on wireless and have never had an issue with it. I haven't played BF2 but is it possible that people on the other end are causing your lag- the games I play sometimes lag if someone on the other end has a crap computer/connection.

considering that most broadband connections are from 380kbs - 1.5mbps, your aggregate 54mbps should be more than enough.

Ouch, high temps. Are you sure your CPU isnt throttling??

There is no reason whatsoever that your internet would effect your FPS. The only thing internet would cause was a high ping or packet loss due to low link quality. My system in sig runs BF2 1280x1024 all settings high 4x/16x AA/AF 55-60fps on average. Yours should be getting at least in the 70s

Your internet connection does not have any effect on your frame rate. First, you should take off your CPU's HSF, clean it off and reapply AS5. When you put it back on, make sure it's properly seated. After you do that, make sure your card is running at the correct clock speed and run some synthetic benchies to see what scores you get.
