Does WinZip not like PowerArchiver?

I used to be a long time fan of WinZip, and It was here, at AnandTech that I seen a link to PowerArchiver. Now I was afraid of change, so after I downloaded it, I immediately didnt like it. Now, I'll let you keep your own views about each program, but to make the story short, I eventually uninstalled winzip through the add/remove programs menu, but every once and a great while, winzip (even though its not installed) will try to regain control of my zip files that are registered to PowerArchiver. So when I click on the powerarchiver Icon, it prompts me to find "winzip32.exe" My only solution before was to reinstall and reconfigure PowerArchiver, but I found an easier way, which was through the File Types manager.

So today, after WinZip attacked my left flank, I ran a full frontal assault and opened up Regedit (I made a backup of course!) and deleted anything that had the word WinZip in.

Now we'll see who's boss...
