Hello

the definition of network operating system is that In network operating systems, users are aware of existence of multiple computers and can log in to remote machines and copy files from one machine to another.

in my office we use windows xp, since i can see the computers of my colleagues, does that mean windows xp has a network operating system functionality?

The definition of Network OS may have been relevant back in the days of DOS and NetWare, but today every OS is network aware.

sure it does, but it also has things like permissions that don't let users log into their colleague's computers.
