Does Windows Home Server computer back-up create a complete disk image?

I am currently using Windows 7 RC1 and need to install my upgrade version of Windows 7 Home Premium before March 1.

I want to retain an image of the RC1 currently installed if I need to install Windows 7 again and it doesn't accept the current install of W7 upgrade.

I just want to quickly confirm that when I choose back-up computer option from within WHS console that I am creating a complete hard drive image that I could use to reinstall W7 Home Premium upgrade in the future if I had to.

Yes pretty much.

Yes because it does a full bare-metal restore if you want.

Pretty much because it isn't like an iso or something...it's like cluster instead of sector based or some blah blah technical blah blah. Something like that. Which is why when you backup multiple pc's it doesn't keep backing up the exact same system files etc each time.

And actually the best part about what are about to do is, take everything you need and put it on the server now (install files etc).

Then when you do the install you don't have to download everything just install the connector and go to town.
