Does Whistler actually phone home to Microsoft©?

No. This is a rumor. It should be dead as soon as more people install the beta. In the IA-64 version, you can configur Whistler to automatically send computer information when you submit a bug to help with the debugging process. I assume the x86 version is the same.

But why should you worry about it unless you have an illegal copy???
