Really, they didn't want to have the same issue as they did with their first-gen PSX displays. Those had problems with severe disc-skipping after a week - I don't think that Sony wanted everyone to realize how poor the QC on their current batches of LCD screens are, with respect to dead pixels, etc.Originally posted by: onlyCOpunk
No stores are supposed to have displays. Sony wanted to sell as many PSP's as they could and sending out display models would subtract from the total amount of units available for sale.
