do you find most games work on vista?

I have not got all my games installed,however ones that I have installed ie Oblivion,Vanguard,STEAM(CS,TFC..etc..),Might & Magic 8 work fine,FYI I'm using 64 bit version of Vista .

I even imported my saved Oblivion files from XP that I burned to CD,so I kept all my cash and levels in Oblivion.

known problems:
FEAR with an nVidia 7950gx2 (SLI issue with nVidia drivers). Shadow artifacts.
GameTap - client does not install on Vista.


As a big gamer I'm cautiously optimistic. So far FEAR has been the only show stopper and it's clearly a driver issue.

There are more than one or two gamers that work at MS. If Vista wasn't a capable gaming platform there would be mutiny. 🙂

That's good news. What is interesting is that I couldn't get Halo to work with Vista. Of course, I was running RC2 so hopefully the retail version is a lot different.

Everquest 2 and Vanguard both work in Vista too.

And who the hell uses WildTangent as an authoritative source? Oh yeah, that's right, the Inquirer does.

It better. MS basically bought a known gaming magazine (to spread they're propoganda? 😛) and also started this big campaign called "Games for Windows" ...
Pretty good idea here though to have people chime in with known problems/fixes.
