There still seems to be reports of people having to pull ram down to 2 gigs , but I can't find out if their dvd has SP1 on it , as mine does, I sort of wanted to load it with all of the 4 gigs
-any one know or should I pull 2 sticks to be safe.
thanks

-also should I load the F-6 raid drivers I know you don't have to , but is it better ?

You only have to do that if Vista doesnt have built in drivers for the raid card, are you saying Vista sees the 4x80gb/Raid0 when your installing Vista ?

I haven't installed Vista yet , just doing some home work before over writing xp on the drives,
-as I know vista has basic(out of date)? raid drivers ,but I also have a nvidia780i board
-and would like up to date raid drivers on the first install , not sure if it matters.

I would get the up to date drivers reduces issues later. Make sure you also update to latest bios before you install. The have issued fixes for the video corruption. I have noticed that a fresh install after a bios update goes better then a previous install after a bios update.

ok thanks , good enough for me

The issue was only with certain motherboards, that said sp1 does include the fix.
