I thought I saw an ad once that showed they did offer a discount. Does anyone know how much the discount would be for a total choice customer w/HBO? I'm thinking about switching from MCI to Verizon if the price is right. I couldn't find any info on the website.

Wait...why would a phone company offer a discount for subscribers of a satellite TV service? That's like Lowe's giving discounts to people who own Samsung cell phones - it's totally nonsensical.

I seriously doubt it.

Never heard of such a thing.... I've been a Verizon and DirecTV customer for years.

Dont doubt it too much, SBC has deals/packages with Dish Network. It does make sense, compete with cable/broadband discounts.

It makes sense if the phone company helps to sell the satellite company's service. I know that SBC & Dish Network have a partnership setup where you get a discount on Dish Network programming. It's quite possible that Verizon & DirecTv have something similar setup.
