Does USPS do this?

So im in the process of selling something online. I asked the buyer for a USPS Money Order. They said fine and said that USPS will contact me once the MO is approved...anyone hear of this?

I dont normally deal with money orders so i dont know.

That doesn't make sense. They just have to go to the post office and buy the money order and mail it to you.

What dabuddha said. You just go into USPS office, hand them money, they hand you money order. Post Office doesn't care who you're sending money order to.

Yep. They're hoping you fall for an email they send that says "USPS has approved your money order". You ship item, they get item, you wait for imaginary money order.

Or you go to post office asking 'where my money at?' and they laugh in your face.
