Does using sunblock and tanning oil cancel each other out?

I'd like to get a tan this summer (it's 92 degrees outside right now), but I don't care for the damaging effects of the sun. If I used sunblock along with tanning oil, would they cancel each other out?

If you don't like the damaging effects of the sun then stay out of it. Sunblock will work for a while, but it doesn't completely prevent all of the harmful rays from reaching you. If you want a tan w/out any risk then use the fake tan lotion.

Not sure, but some tanning oils have a low spf in them, so I don't know how they work. the fact of the matter is that if you have a tan, you've already got some skin damage. If you sit out for 3 hours with sunblock on and get to a certain level and it's the same level as no sunblock but 15 minutes raw, your skin damage is likely to be the same in either case - the former just takes a lot longer.

c'mon Dez. You're kidding...right?

A tan is because of the damaging effects of the sun. Just put on an 8, get a good base and go from there.
