does "using DDR333 Ram with AthlonXP" make sense?

So long as your running on a 266MHz EV6 FSB or below there is precious little benefit to it at all.
Integrated graphics can use the extra bandwidth, as can a few other devices so it's not entirely useless but the benefits are extremely small.
 
What Evan said. A nice performance boost can be had when running the FSB @ 333mhz and the DDR @ 333mhz. Otherwise....not really. The added latency of running the memory asynchronous seems to wipe out most of the performance gained by the extra bandwidth.
