Does (unused) Artic Silver Ceramique degrade over time?

I am probably going to buy a new tube anyways, but just wondering if a 3 year old tube of unused Artic Silver Ceramique will degrade over time?

as long as at has not dried out it is fine
its not that important anymore
we arent cooling p4's anymore
plus, if it went bad in the tube after only 3 years many pcs would be in a bit of trouble....
