Does two thumbs up mean anything anymore?

Does anyone go by ebert and ropers two thumbs up anymore? it seems like they give two thumbs up to every damn movie that comes out. I never go by what they say

It doesn't mean anything to me, but then again, none of the critics' opinions mean anything to me.

You only see "TWO THUMBS UP" on TV ads for movies that actually have gotten them. I don't think that they are that request because Ebert seems to rate movies these days on their entertainment value (he has opened up his perspective a bit) and Roeper tends to be more harsh in his reviews. I still respect what they have to say, but I don't religiously go by them anymore.

they are both horrible at movie reviews now. when ebert is giving tomb raider 2 thumbs up you know to ignore him.

Well... he has his reasons why he gave it a thumbs up, but I must agree that they both have slipped from their crackers.
