Does tube CRT like KV-34HS420 Sony have better resolution?

Just curious if its worth upgrading from my 36'' to a 34 widescreen.Yeah will be good for some HD channels , but my 36 inc already got a 16:9 enhanced mode and use 480i.So i just wonder if it worth to invest $1500 on this 34''

On HD it will look beautiful, on SD programming it will look a little worse IMO.

And yes, it has better resolution on HD material (1080i).

It will look great. You cant compare HDTV to 16:9 enhanced mode, you need the real thing!

I thnk i've seen it for sale under $1000...i'm thinking of getting it or that next higher up one with built in tuner...forget teh model number
