Does tualatin work in older socket 370 boards?

I've got an ASUS CUV4X mb with a 450 cel. I've heard that Tualatin needs a new chipset, so I assumed that it won't work with older chipsets. I've read today that they are still using socket 370. I tried to check the ASUS site, but haven't been able to get in.

Anybody have a difinitive answer?

Thanks in advance

Yeah, it won't work. You need an Taulatin chipset. I've got the ASUS TUSL-2. nice board! Not too expensive either ~$90 at some places.

Actually, my 1.2Ghz Celeron (Tualatin) works fine in my old BX board with a PowerlLeap adapter.

Powerleap is working on an adapter for Socket 370 boards . . . so never say 'never'.

🙂

apoppin, where did you find the powerleap adapter? I might be intrested in something like that so I was wondering where I could find one at a good price.
