does trident smell bad?

I usually chew trident if I'm going to chew gum, but one day I had someone tell me it smelled like alcohol. I almost never drink.

Anyone on here just simply not like the scent of trident gum?

Seriously good. Only flavor I like more is Green Apple (seriously addicting, but flavor doesn't last long enough to justify me buying it all the time).
