Does TouchDown email client detect/report root?

I use TouchDown for Exchange email on my phone, really nice so I don't have to set a PIN or encrypt the whole device. I'm thinking about rooting my device - it seems like TouchDown shouldn't care about this since it's all isolated within the app, but it'd be good to be certain before going through with it. Can anyone who uses TouchDown speak to whether it has root detection capabilities, or if it even cares about this? Appreciate any info.
