Does this thought experiment prove that conwervatives are idiots?

Were conservatives born yesterday or is conservative thinking and the conservative brain historically ancient with conservatism a hallowed and traditionally time honored tradition.

My guess is that conservatives would consider their thinking to go far back in time. But if so, how do you explain this:

As we know from scientific studies, conservatives see the world as a dangerous place and that culture is in decline. And yet we have evolved from the primitive ancient to a more enlightened modern world. So conservatives continue to believe what has been shown self-evidently to be wrong in the past right up to the present day. Isn't that the definition of stupid?

Man oh man, you think the Greek kids were being corrupted by the likes of Socrates, we've got conservative kids still believing that shit. I'm telling ya, we're going to hell in a hand-basket.

It is more of a definition of defect. Being out of sync. Which is fine - it happens, and it will happen to everyone at some point in their lives (i.e. not understanding kids these days!! / get off my lawn!! etc). However, when called out on it, conservatives counter with hostility, hate and anger.

No one is looking to deny conservative their rights or place them in concentration camps (as one of the conservatards on these very forums alluded to in a previous, yet similar, thread - which makes sense, he IS an alarmist,.. but, he is wrong).

A normal person would acknowledge they are over reacting, and tone it down. Try to work with improving themselves. We aren't getting anything like that with conservatives. When told to tone it down, they turn it up to 11. Which is why Fox News and Comedy Central is able to make hundreds of millions in profits off of conservatives - they are being played (by Fox News) and mocked (by Comedy Central).

I believe that we really don't need big government and self regulated industries DO indeed work. However, there are certain situations where government IS needed. Just because industry A works well with self regulation, that does not mean industries B through Z should be self regulated as well. And, of course regulation will not solve every problem, but, it is far better than having anything at all. These last few sentences infuriate the modern conservative.

Why?

Because they want to be in control. If they are in control, then they know they won't have to fear anything - or, so they think.

Their fear mongering mind has cooked up all sorts of wacky situations. Drones being deployed to someone's house because they lit a cigarette. That the government is watching their every step and move. That giving health care to poor people will prolong their lives and be a continued strain on the middle class. That rich people will be hunted like animals. That white people will be hunted like animals. Prisons are creating super powered criminals - what with their weight lifting and 3 meals a day "punishment". That welfare and unemployment hands out bags of gold and pallets of cash,.. every week. Babies and fetuses will be the source of heat and energy.

They feel, that if they are in control, they will prevent all of this from happening,.. but, only to them.

They will still wipe out and harm all those not themselves. Hey,.. that sounds a bit sensationalistic,.. don't it? Well, when someone knocks on your door for help and then you gun them down, can you honestly tell me you want what is best for them?

When someone plays music too loud, and you gun them down, can you honestly tell me you wanted to live peacefully, side by side, with them?

When you push for the murder of medical doctors, who perform perfectly legal procedures, are your intentions really all about saving lives?

It is one thing to be over reactive to every single thing that sets you off. But, when you then counter to what you are reacting to, with gun fire, oppressive laws, shaming and lies (i.e. Ebola is spreading in North America, from Mexico), you are a monster.

What conservative belief are you referring to? Liberals still believe in communism even though that has been proven to be a failure so I guess they must be pretty stupid.

The difference between conservatives and liberals, conservatives are full of love, but we also expect discipline, values and morals.

Liberals have neither love, nor values, nor morals, nor discipline. That is why liberal areas have such high populations of homeless people, because you do not love your neighbor.

Moonbeam, even though you throw stones at people like me, I will still give the homeless guy outside walmart my spare change.

The honest truth is, you are jealous of conservative kindness. You boil in your envy that our churches help feed the homeless, that we provide homeless shelters, all the while you throw stones.
