Does this temp differential seem right?

Epox 8K7A MB + Tbird 1.2g (@1400) + Taisol CGK760092(w/ larger replacement fan installed). My CPU temps always run 12 to 16 degrees C. higher than MB temps. For instance - cpu: 42C, MB: 27C at idle currently. Too big a difference ??

My temps are about the same, going to try the thermalright sk-6 hsf, I guess these temps aren't great but not critical...........YET

Which fan did you put on the Taisol? I would like to get my temps in that area?? I'm also using the same Taisol.

$Bill, I'm not sure what brand it is. I got it at a computer surplus store and took it off a mounting plate. It's a 60mm x 25mm 12v .16A fan. That's a fair amount of amperage for a fan this size. This store has a testing bench w/ a 12 volt p/s they will let you use, soes I usually try to get the breeziest fan I can that has tolerable noise. Says optecdahchidenko Co. on it. I have the original thin taisol fan mounted (actually zip tied) to the side blowing thru the HS fins as well. Hey, here's a flash, I originally had both fans blowing into the HS, but now have the top fan mounted upside down blowing away ("pulling&quot😉 from the HS/MB. Its running a degree or 2 C cooler. Go figure ! :Q
