Hi all,

I finally decided to upgrade my Radeon 9700Pro to X800 XT PE (AGP). My current system has a 380watt PS (it came with Antec Sonata). Will this PS handle the new graphic card?

Here are the specs of my system:

Athlon64 3000+ on Asus K8N-E Deluxe
Corsair 512MBx2 PC32000 CAS2.5
Pioneer 109 DVDRW
WD Raptor 36GB, Seagate 200GB & 160GB (7200rpm)
EMU 1212m sound card
ATI AIW 9700pro

Thanks!

Update: clarified model version

Actually, the XL is an underclocked XT. ;)

Yes, it should work fine. The x800 series consumes a little less energy than past generation 9800s.

actually the x800xl is a different core than the x800xt/pe so it cant be an underclocked version of the x800xt ;)

well since Im lazy, you can look it up yourself Anand, but off the top of my mind its core R423 and it runs at a 110nm instead of a x800xt's 130nm.

But I could be wrong about that.
