It will be in New Mexico and here's the description

In this position, you will be supporting a variety of data management activities including, but not limited to Excel* and Access* database maintenance, creation and maintenance of Excel* based tools, and data validation on tool implementations. The Build Plan team supports the monthly build plan process where the position will require the creation indicators/metrics for the purpose of continuous improvement. You will also help to resolve fallout from these indicators.

what do you guys think?
I don't want to sit in front of a computer all day doing data entry.. I've done that before and it sucked. Does this sound any different?

If you want to work in the IT field, jump on it. If you don't, it still might be good experience. Weigh it against your other options.

well, I have to call them back tomorrow... they have some questions for me.

If worst comes to worst, I wouldn't mind doing it but I'm looking for a different type of internship

I don't know man, something like that would give you opportunities for getting hired for there after the internship was over, wouldn't it? Then, work in it for a year or whatever and you can probably jump to a different internal position.

Either way, anything in IT with an Intel stamp on it will be known by everyone as a legitimate and respectable business--I'd do it.
