Does this sound acceptable?

I'm creating a website under the GNU license, meaning all the content would be free to use anyway desired as long as it remains free. The website would be a wiki and provide a good amount of information to users. For the safety of my idea, I can't share it right now.

I also plan on making some money for myself on the side through Adsense. However, I would also like to receive donations from user to pay for costs such as hosting and a domain name.

Do you think, in our opinion, it would be ok to do this? All money from donations would go straight to my website, but I would still be making money from Adsense. If you were a visitor of a website that did this, how would you feel?

I think its fine as long as you are telling them whats going on. I would still never donate to a website just for upkeep.

I'd certainly be alright with it. I don't know how lucrative it would turn out to be; but it seems neither legally nor ethically problematic.
