Hey there. I've got 768k of memory now (1 x 512 and 1 x 256) pc2700.

I ran across a pc2700 stick of 128 meg to brink it up to 900 or so. . .

I know that is an odd configuration, just want to make sure it does not impair performance.

Thanks!

Since you can't be running in dual channel with three sticks already, adding a fourth stick wouldn't affect your performance.

What motherboard are you using BTW?

You should replace all those sticks with two matched 512Mb sticks and get the benefit of dual channel memory mode. However make darn sure the memory you buy is supported on that mobo. I would recommend Crucial or Corsair's website configurator. You enter the make and model number and they tell you the exact memory that works with your mobo.

Dual channel mode is VERY fussy about memory. The timing is a lot more critical than single channel mode.
