What pisses me off is that more sites don't USE fusetalk. It's great I think. I shudder at those message boards where everything is on one page. So ugly, annoying to use, and unprofessional.

I wish the NYTimes had a fusetalk message board.

I don't have a problem with board software like Vbulletin, or UBB or YaBB. The problem with FuseTalk is that it costs mucho dinero, and for small webmasters a free solution is better.

I like ZeroForum as well. This one site I visit frequently uses it for their forum software and it's really nice. Not as fancy-schmancy as FuseTalk, but it's simple and gets the job done.
