Does this sign prohibit the parking for an entire block or just around the tree area?

There are some trees in front of my apartment and they are pruning them tomorrow. NYCPD posted these signs on both sides of the block. I want to know if this means that I have to move my car, which is parked so far from the tree, that if it were to fall then it would come nowhere near my car. Problem is I have to move 3 cars and it is near impossible to find parking for them at this time. If I have to, I'll move them in the early morning.

Recommend 2 vehicle lengths a side from each tree to avoid potential tow jobs.

They need to get the trucks for trimming and chipping into the area around the tree so as to not block the road

if the signs are all along the road, I'd assume the whole road is FUBAR.

Do they skip trees or does every tree have a sign?

In Chicago it would be the entire block and they would make a killing towing a lot of cars.

It depends on how many trees have the signs. An easy way is to call the local NYPD station and ask them, as they are who put them up. It is probably the entire block, as many trees will need pruning. And I would not trust my car anywhere near where tree work is being done, just in case of a mishap.
