Does this program exist?

Would like to directly connect to a person, via their ip.. where it would then act as if i'm on his lan network to play warcraft or something similar to that...

not too familiar with the networking issues and programs available out there, so would need some assistance figuring this one out!

thanks

well maybe i just stated this wrong...

how can i configure my router to allow an outside ip join in?

I read somewhere about opening up ports and such, but not sure exactly how to do this, or if this is even possible. Well sorry to repost, but i thought they were 2 different questions, i guess not..

sorry

Well then you're asking about port forwarding, which does not make the computer appear to be part of your LAN (like VPN's do). There are quite a large number of posts about "port forwarding" in this very forum. Some of them even on the first page. As well as a great number of online resources. Start with those, try some things out, and work at it from there.

i second hamachi. tried it with splinter cell chaos theory....got it up and running in about 3 minutes...maybe 3 and a half...

and im no networking wiz...
