I have no idea what a bed frame is. lol

Please excuse my ignorance. Can someone gimme a link to a bedframe picture?

you've never seen a bed before? its the thing the mattress sites on...

I have a bed god damn it. lol

So it's the thing under the mattress? Hmm. And they cost $30-$50? Maybe I'll just buy a new one then.

yeah, the wooden frame with legs and a headboard, etc..

I dont want legs, I want to be on the floor. I guess what I need is a box spring, and a mattress, right?

i still don't get why you think that will be more comfortable than a regular bedframe????

Damn it, you want to know the real reason? For the next year, I'll still be living with my parents and my current bed makes too much noise ;)

why didn't yuo just say that? but still, just get a new bedframe, one that doesn't make noise? or tighten up the old one.

I will be living at home for the next year, and my bed does make noise, but I was just joking about that being the reason.

The real reason Im considering it is because it just seems as though it would be more comfortable.

A bed frame is just a metal frame that you put the box spring and mattress on. Unlike the platform beds you're talking about, a bed frame requires a box spring. Platform beds do not (it would look stupid), because they have a plywood base that supports the mattress.

Bed frame:

No headboard, no footboard, no frills, just a cheap way to get your bed up off the ground so it doesn't look ghetto.
