Yes my friend contacted AT&T they were not helpful.

When they click on it nothing happens. The Get started part. Just loads a page with no info just a blank AT&T page.
 
"Contacted" does not automatically = "called". 😉

AT&T customer-service is however a fairly large notch DOWN from Comcast. (in other words utter crap)

Even so I would suggest calling yourself unless you were listening in when your buddy spoke to them. I get things done over the phone when other folks can't seem to manage it all the time.

Not sure where exactly that was seen but if it was some kind of ad or something I doubt it's targeted to the exact location, but probably the city. I'd have him call to find out. There would need to have been construction crews in his area running all the cables. If there was no such activity chances are it's not available in his area. When they rolled it out in my area they only made it available to houses fed with areal cable plant as it was too costly to do underground.
