Nah.

Bush will conveniently arrange for gas prices to drop right before the election however.

I agree, however, historically speaking, the gas prices always drop before the general election in the past presidential elections.

Considering crude oil prices just rose as U.S. inventories were lower than anticipated, I think not.

In fact, gas here just hit a record high of $1.86 for 87 octane.

hitting 1.95 on LI. I don't freak about it usually, but $2 again is a tad on the ludicrous side

I just paid $1.89 for regluar yesterday here. I was in a hurry so I didn't look for the lowest price, but GEEZ! :Q

Since we are the only ones going in there to get the oil back pumping and such, we should just pipe it directly to the US. No reason anyoen else should share in that oil at the time being.

Meh.

Gas is cheaper now then it was in the 70s and cheaper then almost anywhere else on Earth.

As long as Kerry dosen't get elected and slap us with that 50 cent a gallon tax I think we will be okay.

Tis true....when inflation is factored in. Its the taxes now that are eating up so much of the cost of gas right now. How much was the percentage again? 75%? I forget but it was freaking high.

edit: well not that high but it tops out to nearly 50 cents a gallon in some states.
