ok, so a P4 benifits from lots of bandwith/high mhz, and the athlonXP doesnt take need high bandwidth/highmhz to run as fast as a p4.... so then why are there no p4 chipsets that will run stable with a ddr 400 chip in it...... and there are athlon chipsets that run ddr 400 just fine................ bah..... it makes me mad.... i just wish the sis648 would actually run ddr3200....................................

tell me what you think

DDR400, thanks to its 200 MHz clock, is a very fragile technology, mighty useless in practice. Two DIMMs are highly unlikely to work at all. Besides, it isn't even specified by the JEDEC commitee yet, so basically noone knows exactly what design rules to follow just yet. Several chipsets might be ready for it, but it isn't being advertized yet because it hasn't even been defined.

*edit also.... about 2 weeks ago there were like 15 people (one of you was Wingtel) waiting to get the p4s8x... are you all still waiting and what do you think now that it looks not too overclockable???.... i want it but i want to ov/c
