No i dont have any nerver pain. They tested me for it. They stuck needles into my leg and then electiric shocked me
There's a test called a myelogram where they inject dye and then do a CAT scan. It can be VERY useful for finding a nerve that is being pinched or cut off.
Also just because someone tells you you don't have any nerve pain doesn't necessarily make it so. That just means they didn't find anything
with that test. The sharp pain you describe could be a lot of things.....including nerve pain. The problem is, if you have a pinched nerve for any length of time, sometimes it becomes damaged. And unfortunately nerves do not regenerate, so some people get surgery to release the nerve but it still hurts.
FWIW I would keep pushing this. Find a good orthopedic surgeon and give them your case info. As long as it's potentially beneficial to your injury they should approve it. Get an evaluation and tell them your problems as best as you can. You are entitled to it.
If you're done with all that, I understand. It gets really depressing because most of the time you go through all these hoops and end up still in pain.
Another thing is technology. There very well could have been developments since your injury.
Personally I was able to improve my back after two surgeries, but I still have pain all the time. I can do most chores around the house, yard and fix stuff when it breaks. But anything involving bending down kills me. A few hours of that and I will be f@#ked for a few weeks with extreme lower back pain and nerve pain in my leg.
